1863 – Established by Thomas Wynn, set up as a carrier (haulage contractor), with a couple of horses & carts.

Set up a contract with Star Flour Mills to distribute flour to bakeries & shops. Also created a partnership with the railways to become an agent.

1878 – Thomas Wynn died, the company had now expanded to several dozen horses & carts.

Robert Wynn (15), with the aid of his sister Emma, carried on the business.
